Job Description:
Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Digital Marketing Strategist, Engagement Strategist, and/or a related experience pertaining to relationship management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, and/or related equivalent
- Direct experience working with healthcare authorities, preferably in BC
- Experience creating strategic marketing and engagement plans outlining objectives, tactics, timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators
- Experience with creating executive-style status reports and ensuring key senior leadship and informed parties are kept apprised on project progress, achievements, and areas of improvement
- Impeccable communication skills both verbal and written
Services Required:
The Digital Marketing and Engagement Strategist will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and engagement strategy as a key enabler for the creation of a connected patient/provider experience. This strategy will lead to the development of an ongoing function aligned with the strategic goals of the project to inform, involve, and empower patients to embrace the use of HealthLinkBC and the Health Gateway as a proactive pathway in their health journey.
The Digital Marketing and Engagement Strategist will:
- Work closely with the policy and digital team and GCPE to develop a compelling narrative and robust plan to increase awareness and adoption of the digital front door pathway.
- Work with the development and service design team to identify and engage with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback and develop key performance indicators to measure audience engagement to inform continuous improvement of the platform and its tools.
- With the support of GCPE and the Ministry, work to build a strong brand presence across all touch points in the patient and provider ecosystem, using the PESO model of paid, earned, shared, and owned communications and engagement.
- Establish a channel strategy including the identification of strategic partnerships to build trust and enhance reach and impact, particularly important as public trust in government and the health system remains low.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with the overarching goals of HealthLinkBC and Health Gateway and government’s health communications, including its Health Access campaign.
- Provide additional communications and issues management capacity to support GCPE and provide guidance in the governance and operations of the project.
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of marketing strategies and engagement activities.
