Role Purpose

The ideal candidate will have experience in craft beer sales and will understand the important aspects of retail channel sales (LCBO, Grocery and The Beer Store).

A fiercely independent owned and operated brewery, Great Lakes celebrated 36 years in the craft beer business in 2023, making us one of the oldest craft breweries in Ontario. Key Accountabilities and Activities
- Build growth within existing retail channel partners through frequent sales calls, visits and phone calls
- Plan and execute a daily schedule of sales calls focused on specific objectives
- Create strong relationships with Brand Ambassadors, managers and those responsible for ordering and promoting our products
- Positively and professionally represent GLB in all interactions
- Expand our brand’s reach by increasing our visibility at the retail level
- Work with our partners to increase their knowledge of GLB and the Craft Beer industry
- Meet and/or exceed sales objectives
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure proper coverage and execution with outside distributors
- Track territory results and submit weekly reports
- Use industry data tools to plan your weekly route and strategize accordingly
- Work on the LCBO portal weekly to have direct contact with customers and ensure the proper level of inventory is available
- Enter TBS orders and follow up with stores to ensure product is rotated and the appropriate amount of inventory is on hand
- Understand trends and marketplace competition information to further enhance sales objectives
- Help around the brewery as requested or needed
Necessary Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in LCBO, Grocery and TBS sales
- A proven track-record of territory management and sales growth
- A self-starter who is able to work independently
- An intense competitive spirit with an assertive and confident personality
- A commitment to achieving results and reporting successes
- Demonstrates ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities
- Comfortable with daily and weekly statistical reporting
- A valid ‘G’ driver’s license and clean driving record
Education and Certification Requirement/s
- Smart Serve certified
- Post-secondary education
- Class 'G' Licence
